An illustration for a classic Yidish poem from the early 30's, which was translated to Hebrew by the great poet Nathan Alterman.
The poem draws the story of a young girl from a poor family, whos parents are giving her more and more chores, making her grow mature quickly.
concept: The sky and the ground as the girl's needs and wants versus what her hparennts wants from her.
the girl's hair is showing the tention between what she wants and her parents wants from her. Her hair also represants her wild side, her childish and playfull one. her parents are trying to hold her down by it, while she wants to fly away by an airplane or with the ducks, travel by the train or sail away, play with the aninmals and do moe child like stuff.
